Crystal Castles introduced the world to Bentley Bear, the adorable gem-collecting hero who scampers, leaps, and battles an evil cast of walking trees, dancing skeletons, crystal balls, gem eaters and the broom-flying Berthilda the Witch. Collect as many gems as possible to boost your score across nine levels and four castles. Look out for a honey pot on every level, which grants you 1,000 points and delays the arrival of a swarm of bees. And be sure to grab the magic hat, which makes Bentley briefly invulnerable and allows him to defeat Berthilda.
Crystal Castles was first released as an arcade game in 1983 – one of the first isometric arcade games – and was ported to the Atari 2600 a year later. It is a must-have for any Atari collector.
